MINT 2023
Hands-On Skills Training Workshop
This course will host an optional hands-on skills training session where physicians will have the opportunity to practice novel skills under the directorship of experts in the field. This training session will include stations dedicated to:
- Robotic station
- Peroral endoscopic myotomy (POEM)
- Per-oral pyloromyotomy (POP)
- Endoscopic mucosal resection and radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
- Esophageal stenting and suturing
- transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF)
- Manometry and EndoFLIP
Collaborative sessions
Advanced practice providers (APPs) such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants are essential to providing quality patient care in foregut disease. Two Mass General APPs, Alexandra Maltby, PA-C, and Priyanca Waghmarae, PA-C, will host dedicated didactic sessions for APPs and RNs in the field with the goal of furthering education and understanding of foregut disease and treatments, and promoting a collaborative approach to patient care.
